This drawing is based on a photograph I took of a street in Lavapiés during the pandemic. That´s why all the shops have their shutters down. We had hard lockdown in Madrid. My children didn´t leave the apartment for 43 days while my husband worked in his hospital ICU. And so I felt the homes with their coloured facades and shared bunting reflected this time of life, death and hope.
